Fat monkeys its a very nice place, the only problem i had was the fan which wasnt working. otherwise, i will visit again.

I really enjoyed our stay. Especially considering that this is a backpackers, the accommodation was perfectly adequate...and the food was very good (loved the french toast and curries!) :)

We stayed in a room with en-suite, mosquito net and fan, all in good working order. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Management on the grounds and always ready to assist. Neat and tidy grounds. We had a wonderful holiday. Its a place with a great vibe.

My husband and I stayed three days of our honeymoon at this place and we were really impressed with the rooms.We slept in Mummbo room which is a nice room.The wine that was put in the room was great....Thank you.

The only thing that disturbed us was the noise that was made by the fan that hangs from the roof, we had to tie a rope to the fan so that it could stop giving us the unneeded noise.

The othe thing that we noted as needing improvement is the fact that our bedings were ot being changed as it is the case with most lodging places, am not sure if this is by design but i would suggest that management can look into this.

If management has money please put some TVs in the rooms and some more magazines, they will be great.

But all in all we dont regret spending days at Fat monkeys, its one of the most beautiful lodges in cape maclear.We will surely visit it again during our aniversary.

Great camping area on the sandy beach under big mango trees. Food is great, too. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

This is value for money. Other places we camped for more.
We stayed in one of the chalets at Fat Monkeys. It was clean and had everything you needed. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Stayed 6 nights.
Will stay there again if in the visinaty.

After many hours of driving though Malawi, Fat Monkeys provided a welcome retreat and opportunity to relax. The facilities are some of the best for camping and the position makes you want to watch sunset after sunset forever. We will be back there again to enjoy their hospitality.
